Looking for a creative outlet in Fort Lauderdale? The Writer’s Block is a beginner-friendly songwriting class for adults who want to explore ideas, express themselves, and finally start creating in a supportive, low-pressure environment. No experience is needed. Whether you’ve never written before or you’ve been sitting on ideas for years, this class gives you the space, guidance, and encouragement to begin. Each session includes creative prompts, light structure, and time to write, reflect, and share at your own comfort level. The group is intentionally kept small to create a more personal, relaxed experience. Perfect for adults looking for something inspiring, meaningful, and different. Limited spots available.

Cancellation Policy
Songwriting Group Class Terms: Members: - No refunds for no-shows or cancellations. Members can attend the next available class or participate online. - One recurring monthly payment for membership. Drop-in/Single Lesson Participants: - 24-hour notice required for cancellations to retain credit for next class. - Failure to provide 24-hour notice will result in loss of credit. - One fee for a single class. - To provide notice, please text the office at 516-945-9742. Class Size: Classes require a minimum of 2 participants to commence and are capped at 4 participants. Class Schedule: Classes are held weekly, but students can attend whichever classes fit their schedule. Teacher Availability: If the regular teacher is unavailable, class credits will be issued to all participants. Health Policy: Please do not attend in-person classes if you're feeling unwell. Instead, participate online if you're well enough. Participation: Active participation is mandatory for all classes. Online Classes: Online sessions are typically held on Google Meet or Zoom. Materials: Please bring the following materials to each class: - Pen/Pencil - Dedicated notebook for songwriting notes and exercises - Digital writing pad (optional) - Laptop (optional) Late Arrivals: Please arrive 5 minutes prior to class start-time. No penalties for late arrivals, but timely arrival ensures full participation. Recordings: Classes may be recorded for educational or promotional purposes, as outlined in the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that all students are required to sign.
